HJO.
Heavy overnight has kept the police away so we are not disturbed. It brightens up by 9am so we set off on a walk to find the trolls church.

The walk is about 3 miles long but will take 3 hours. When we start we realise why, it is all up and down hill. There were no trolls at the top of the hill but we are not surprised as it is a hell of a climb. There are a number of stopping areas. The last one includes an axe to chop wood for the bbq.

Our next stop is at Hjo about 40 miles to the south. Rosie drives today to keep her hand in. Her navigator let's her down by telling her to return to the main road that we left last night. It transpired that we could have found a road heading south. It is a straight forward journey along quiet roads. We encounter a number of young military personnel along the route. It looks like they were on manouevres.
Hjo is a lovely town. We struggle to find the spot but as soon as we do, three French motorhomes turn up. The board at the end of the car park offers a walk around the town. It is a nice walk in the sunshine, taking in the harbour, centre and park. It seems that we can get water tomorrow from the harbour, possibly for free. We celebrate with a couple of beers at the local pizzeria. The owner is from Turkey but left because he doesn't like thevTurks. He later explains that he is a Christian and was not treated well. He also tells us that he is a Liverpool supporter. I resist any temptation to gloat.
Sit outside and watch the locals drive around the square in big American cars. We are reminded of Grease and sing at them each time they pass by.

Rosie says goodnight to the French at 10:45pm. Almost immediately, they turn in for the night. She hasn't lost her teacher mode despite retirement!
