Best Caravans Part 3.

LIETO.

Over breakfast, we watch the antics of two French couples who arrived in almost identical motorhomes last night. The only difference we can see is between the number plates. They are setting off for the day on motorbikes. It takes them an age to get going.

There is a group of barnacle geese feeding on the grassy banks of the harbour. Not a bird we normally see at home.

I'm surprised how close to the town we were last night. We could have walked back to the old town if we had realised.

It's laundry day so Rosie is more excited than normal, today. The shop is in a large shopping mall. So, we are able to do our shopping for the ferry trip whilst waiting. Being a mall, the fuel prices are considerably lower than we've seen further north. Take the opportunity to top up.

On to a service station which provides us with the opportunity to fill up with water, for free. And, finally on to Best Caravans for the third time this week. This depot in Lieto is about to move premises in the next week or so. It means that it is very quiet, no workshops are operable. The lady manager makes us very welcome. She has time on her hands so we chat for a while. Her parents live in Torrevieja just along from Pilar. When we tell her of our travels she wants a photo for their website. Fame at last.

There is a housing estate across the motorway, accessed by an underpass. We walk around for an hour but don't discover a centre or any shops. The locals must travel to do their shopping.
