REPOSAAN.

We watch a large hare in the field opposite the van. When it stands still, it looks remarkably like a tree stump. Great camouflage. On the road by 11 am. We follow a lorry with trailer with pictures of Madonna on the side. We work out later that it must be the touring group of a musical based on her life.

Several sittings of deer along the roadside as we head towards the coast. We're probably finished with the lakes, now. A stop at a service station offers the opportunity to empty the cassette and fill up with water. The supermarket next door provides the opportunity to buy provisions for tonight.

The town is Pori, a relatively new town built on the American system of grid lines. Not worth much more than a walk around and then head for the coast.

Our final stop is at Reposaan, a lighthouse 20 miles towards the coast. The harbour has plenty of free parking and fabulous views. There is also a bar and restaurant. We go for an hour's walk and find rebuilt trenches alongside look out bunkers which date back to the 1930's. The town is built mainly of wood.

We arrive back at the van at 17:30. Unfortunately, the bar closed at 17:00! We drive back to the town and find a multipurpose kiosk. It sells grilled food, drinks and acts as the local post office. It's the first time that I've queued at a bar waiting for a parcel to be weighed in.
