Free Water And A Flashing Speed Camera.

IKAALINEN.

Tonight's proposed stop doesn't offer water so we're in the middle of finding an alternative when the manager tells us to follow him for water. He opens up the workshop and passes the hosepipe to us. Back to the original plan. Again, the hospitality is fabulous.

A low spot early on in the journey. We reach the end of the clearway but I don't notice until it is too late that the speed limit has reduced to 40mph. I'm doing 45 when the camera flashes me. It will be the first time that I have been caught speeding.

The site is a large hotel complex with several buildings and various types of accommodation. People are leaving as we arrive, it being Sunday afternoon. The women are leaving with roses. It's Mothers' Day here in Finland, today.

We follow a marked walk for an hour. It takes us through the woods to another part of the lake. Lots of hidden properties including one with a wooden sauna in the garden.

Anxious moments later in the afternoon as the final football matches of the regular season are played out. Rosie and I played cards as City retain the title.
