BOGACS.
The dogs start barking at 6:30, we assume to coincide with Svenka leaving for school. They settle back down and leave us in peace for a couple of hours. Even when we go to the toilet block they only bark, continuing to lounge around. Somehow, Rosie has locked us out of the bathroom in the van. Deft use of a spoon helps us to open it. Every day, we learn something new about the van.
A hoopoe lands next to the van as we're taking breakfast. A proud crest and vivid colouring, it seemed quite at home in the garden.
Rosie sneaks in a clothes wash but then overloads the site electricity so it has to start again. Fortunately, the box is next to the van so we can reset it. Flushed with success, she puts in another load only for it to trip and have to be restarted again.
A Dutch man comes to look after the horses. He tells us that he and his wife moved here three years' ago having bought the house initially as a holiday home. He says there are a number of Dutch in the area but cannot explain why they gravitated here. When asked about the language barrier, he responded that after a few beers everyone can be understood.
Our route takes us back to Eger. We call to buy LPG but the attendant can't get it to fill. We suspect that you have to hold the trigger rather than lock it but he won't let us try. Call next door at Lidl for provisions.
Satnav, programmed by co-ordinates, takes us past a spa in the village and wants to drive a further 10k. Reprogrammed by address, it takes us back to the village. The campsite fee includes access to the pools so Rosie hangs out the washing and we enjoy a lazy afternoon basking in the sunshine for a welcome change.
