NOVA MILANESE.
Blue skies have returned and sun greets us again this morning. The temperature hovers around 15 Centigrade for much of the day.
We return to Bennet to buy provisions for the day which later prove to be unnecessary. Leaving the car park, we spot a sign to a campersite in Taglioli . It turns out to be 3 miles away but not much out of our way. We're able to empty the van but the water tap announces that it not for drinking. A shame because we are completely out of water.
We avoid the motorway opting instead for the more scenic route. The Italian Alps are full of snow as we head towards them. The roads are good to navigate but are in desperate need of repair. At one point, we pass by a town called Sale!
Find the venue for tomorrow with ease. We're about 5 miles from tonight's stopover. Parking shouldn't be a problem, hopefully not as busy as last week.
More disappointment at the site. There is room but the water isn't turned on. There are 4 spaces, one is taken by a caravan. The owner objects when we park next to him, we do so to distance the van from the grid. Rosie asks about the water. It has been turned off since November. How they must smell is Rosie's observation. We walk to the local supermarket and buy 6 litres for 57 cents.
There is a sports centre at the back of the car park. We walk around it and find another tap. However, this is also turned off.
We walk to the piazza, about half a mile away. It's throbbing with teenagers and senior citizens.

Decide to have a beer at one of the bars in the square. The staff explain that there is a free buffet with alcohol. There's macaroni, rice, foccacia, ham and breads. Initially, we decline, then they started bringing plates out to us. Naturally, we reluctantly decide to have a second drink. However, the size of the bill explained the buffet, 7 euro a drink! These are Scandinavian prices. Rosie suspects that we are being charged tourist prices. Still, we've eaten enough not to need dinner.
