Oysters In The Mist

ST JEAN DE LUZ.
A frustrating day in the main ends in a lovely evening. We leave the site by 10:30 and head for mass at 11 in Hossegor. There is a market on and it's a busy village so parking is difficult. We arrive shortly after the start.
Then, after a belated breskfast parked outside the chess club, we set off to find LEclerc for LPG. We find the petrol station easily enough but there is no sign of the LPG. The next nearest is on the motorway but the access is barred and manned by security. Set off for the beach at Anglet. Unfotunately, the free site is closed from midnight for a beer festival.
So, we move on to St Jean de Luz. The two supermarkets offer neither laundry facilities nor LPG. The campervan site is on the opposite side of the road. Trying to cross two lanes incurs the wrath of the local drivers. Use a slip road and park up.
Then our luck changes, parking is free on a Sunday, normally it is 6 euro.

The town is under a subway. We go for a walk along the promenade for an hour. The sea mist settles in on us but the air remains fresh and bracing. The town is packed with holiday makers, particularly a large group from nearby Spain wearing bright yellow shirts.

As it's probably our last evening in France, we decide to have oysters. The nearest bar offers 6 plus a glass of wine for 12 euro. We share them snd I have a couple of pints.
