ROUEN.
Reception opens at 9:00 which is tight because the confirmation email suggests we need to be at the port by 9:30am and it's 30 minutes away. Rosie pays whilst I fill up with water. Pleasingly, we receive a £7.90 rebate for having to park outside. The woman taking her money asked if the ferry is still running. Should we be concerned.
Boarding takes over an hour, the longest we've experienced. Cars were loaded first, a woman had to run to catch her partner's car, he set off and left the door open for her.
Soon, we're saying goodbye to Newhaven.

The 4 hour journey is just long enough without being boring. We were expecting a rough crossing after an announcement over the annoy. It only meant that we swayed as we walked.
Stop to shop at Lidl immediately after the port in Dieppe.
Lots of roadworks in Rouen and a number of parking sites were barriered off. So, we settle for a car park near the parkrun start. Dinner in the van and walked along the Seine afterwards.

We're comforted by the arrival of a French motorhome next to us just before retire to bed.
