Locked Out Of The Campsite.

EAST BRIGHTON CAMPSITE.

Took longer than expected to load the van, again. The electric bike is very heavy and we tried using the cover but it's not a total success.

Make good progress until the M25. Then traffic and rain in equally heavy proportions mean that we don't arrive at the site until 8:15 pm. We'd called and left a message explaining that We'd be arriving late but we're never called back.

The upshot is that we have to park outside the gates. However, we do have access to electricity and the shower block but no water for the van. Paraphrasing the words of the legendary Jim Bowen in Bullseye, this is what we could have won;

Fearing that it would be cold and damp in the van, Rosie has the heat on full blast and the electric blanket on the bed. I return from the shower block to a sauna!

Too tired from the 6+ hours journey for a walk so eat cheese sandwiches and have an early night.
