BODENMAIS.
A significant drop in the temperature overnight. Awoke several times because of the cold. A blanket is required for tonight, I believe.
On the road by 10:00 with a plan to stop a couple of times. The route is 90% motorday so we end up making two short stops, one to changeover drivers and the other to change back when we hit a road closure 20 miles from our destination. A couple of attempts at following the diversion signs before we settle on the right route.
A WhatsApp call to Alex as soon as we arrive. The two Dans, Dom, Rosie, Cathy, Rob Mc & Rob S are on the line with her and, of course, Lexi & Heath. Great to see them all and chat, albeit briefly.
Payment of the parking fee includes a reduction in the entrance fee to the municipal pool. It has only been open for four weeks, transformed from the old tiles to metallic. Once again, the two grown up children play on the water slides. Speak to a German couple who are here from Dresden for 5 days. He wants us to understand that they are from the former East Germany. They must be proud of their heritage!

We stay a couple of hours then walk around town. It appears to be a centre for glass shops. There are several outlets and two or three glass blowing sites. The town is quite large with many restaurants and hotels. It must be quite busy in the snowy period.
