RIBNITZ-DAMGARTEN.
We're at the ferry terminal by 10am in plenty if time for the 11 o'clock sailing. Some confusion when the display shows the next two sailings as Berlin and Copenhagen. Then, we're told these are the names of the ships.

The hour and three quarters flies by and the road journey is straightforward so we arrive at the site to find that it has been commandeered by the circus. Fortunately, there is second site nearby. We walk into town and find a barbers. The German numbers must be sharper because the cut is a lot shorter than normal. The barber is a Turk and I think that he asks if I want a twist. In truth, he's asking if I'm a tourist!

We call for a beer in the local pizzeria. This turns into pasta and pinot grigio. The waiter is originally from Sicily. He talks about visiting Manchester in October after the season. Rosie suggests that he should apply for a job at San Carlos (he's interested in footballers).

Go for a post prandial walk around the town.
