LJUNGHUSEN.

Our plan is to sit on the beach this morning go for a swim then visit the Viking Museum. But, we all know what happens to plans, don't we? Thirty minutes into the beach and the locals begin to pack up, strange as it's only 10:30. Then the thunderstorm arrives. We try sheltering in a covered area but it doesn't abate. So, we walk back to the van and get wet.

After a reviving cup of tea, we set off for the museum. Rosie is expecting a Viking ship but is disappointed. It's a recreation of a Viking settlement with youngsters dressed up. One had a mobile phone, and I thought that was a recent invention. We gave it a miss.

Move on to Hollviken. It's a pleasant town with enough shops to interest Rosie and a pleasant park where we enjoy lunch.

Return to the site from last night. Now, we get the chance to sit in the sun on the beach and enjoy a swim in the sea. After dinner, we stroll down to the sea and watch as the heavy lorries are loaded with seaweed to clear the seashore.
