An Ice Cream Man with a Difference.

LJUNGHUSEN.

Well, it has finally happened. Rosie got to see a deer today, and it was close up. We were driving slowly down a road in the forest when a deer appeared on our left and walked across the road in front of us.

Earlier we left the harbour just before midday. The receptionist at the gym on Saturday told Rosie about some beaches south of Malmo so we head there. We don't find a beach in village but moved on to the coast further south. Stop to collect provisions in Vellinge . It's market day so Rosie collects fresh fruit and vegetables before moving on to the supermarket. There is also a Systembolaget in town which enables me to buy a box of wine at the equivalent of £4.50 per bottle. The store is part of a government run chain of off licences.

Drive to Falsterbo in the extreme south west of the country. Nice beach but the basic car park wants £25 for the motorhome overnight. We decide to stay for a couple of hours only. I hit on a button which gives me an hour's parking for free. Then, using another credit card I obtain a second hour free. On the beach, a pirate ship turns up and kids flock to it. It turns out to be the ice cream man and everyone forms an orderly queue.

We move on to a nice beach and spot the deer on the way. We park up and go for a long walk. Unfortunately, we see a sign on our return saying no campervans. However, we'd spotted a van further along during our walk. Move there and find we have the company of three others. Feel much happier and settle down for the night.
