Surrounded by Sheep, Feels Like Home.

BROKDORF.

Overcast morning so we take our time over breakfast. We set off at 10:30 for Hude, just before Bremen. However, the continuing lack of sun persuades us to strike out further. We leave Holland and arrive at Brokdorf, North West of Hamburg. The journey is 230 miles long and gives Rosie a chance to do 90 minutes of driving.

Brokdorf is on the estuary just before the sea. A quiet, pretty little town. Unfortunately, the supermarket shuts at midday on a Saturday and there is no bar showing the football. Just as well as England lose to Belgium.

Surrounded by sheep, memories of Marsden.

The cruise ship Aida sails past us as the sun sets.
