DELFT.
Spend restless night caused by sea winds and motorway traffic. A German neighbour commiserates with us over last night's scoreline. He doesn't like the Croatians because a waiter once threw his tip back at him.
We ring Martin who fitted the gas tank. He tells us to steer clear of gell based batteries. So, we phone the garage in Delft and the owner offers to replace it. 90 miles in the wrong direction later we arrive back at his garage. They refund the whole amount, replace the battery and only charge for the new battery, a net saving of Euro 122.
We use the local campsite to test the new battery and electrics. It still trips but we work out what to use and upgrade to a biggest output ( to 10 amps). The site is expensive almost Euro 40 but it has a swimming pool.
Walked into Delft, a pretty town, fifteen minutes from the site.

TThe site is set in a park which has plenty of wildlife and a children's zoo of farm animals. Note the lack of fear in the heron.

Cooked our first meal in the van on this leg of the trip.
