DEN OEVER.
A leisurely breakfast is spoilt by the discovery of a pool of water under the van. Not sure if we should be worried or not. Get lost in Amsterdam trying to avoid motorways. Very stressful with all the traffic, motorbikes and pushbikes but finally we find our way out.
We stop at Volendam to brew up. The puddle reappears and there is a trickle of water in the van. A phone call to Baldwin's discovers that he didn't replace the seal, just put it back. Our alternatives are to go home, do nothing or cap the hot the hot water pipes. We are going to try the do nothing approach first and press on.

Volendam is a lovely town on the Isle Meer. We wander around and have our photograph taken in traditional dress.

We purchase supplies at a local supermarket, deciding that the food isn't as good as Lidl.
Drive to Den Oever to a camper park from the Aires book. Transpires that it is free including electricity. No water unfortunately but there is a toilet with hot water. There is a kiosk on site selling fish and chips. We are just in time, it closes just after we are served.

The first electric connection fails but a second one works.
Watched England lose in extra time against Croatia in a bar on the harbour. Every nation is supporting England except two Scotsmen and an Irishman.
Return to the van to discover the electricity has tripped again. Now we're seriously considering the return home option.
