PURGG.
Heavy overnight rain and an overcast sky convinces us to move on towards Kaprun. Our lunchtime stop is at Liezen. It looks like a nice town that has been overtaken by the shopping mall boom of the current century.
We struggle with the overnight stop initially. Somehow, we code the Sat nav incorrectly and end up at the wrong side of the town. The possible stop is at a musuem which has an automatic gate closing at 10pm and reopening at 6am. We opt against that and find what turns out to be a great alternative. We're up in the hills in a small village. Note the phone box under the traditional rain shelter and the very large pole housing the Christmas decorations. Only one problem, the swimming pool is of course closed!

After a walk around the village, we enjoy a beer in the local Gasthaus. Over dinner, Rosie has more enjoyment watching the volunteer firemen going through a fire drill!
Our evening finishes listening to the van radio playing traditional oompah tunes.
