KRVAVICA.
Sleep in until 8am after yesterday's early start. On my way to the toilet block, I'm accosted by a woman speaking German. She calls her husband over. It turns out that the are Austrian and have run out of diesel. Do we have any spare? We don't of course but offer to run him to a petrol station. Speaking to a young German on site later he tells me that even his old campervan has a huge and a light to tell him his fuel is low. Who says that the Germans do not have a sense of humour?
Rosie and I drive to Makarska to find a bycicle repair shop we discovered on the internet last night. The owner sells, rents and repairs bikes. The brakes confused him at first, it appears that the continental bikes have their brakes on the opposite sides of the handlebar.
He explains that I need a new brake at the back and will fix it for 400 Luna, about £52. It takes 35 minutes, just long enough for a coffee.
We walk down to the harbour to look at the ferry to Brac. Unfortunately, you can't book so we'll have to turn up early tomorrow to queue.
The harbour is fabulous.

Rosie wants a haircut and we find Dora is open in the square. It could take up to 2 hours so I drive the van back to the site on my own and walk back along the sea to meet her for dinner. It's a 3 mile walk which is rugged then developed in equal measure. The latter half of the walk goes through shops and bars which, whilst empty now, will be buzzing in summer.
After several passes along the harbour, we settle on an empty restaurant but which turns out to be a great choice. Fish soup, grilled vegetables, sea bass and tuna washed down with 500ml of local wine.
We book the ferry for tomorrow on the way past. We are assured that the lunchtime ferry will not be full.
There must be a junior football tournament on in town. Everywhere we turn there are teams of youngsters coming and going in football kit.

Walk back together into the setting sun. Colours not as good as last night but nevertheless:
