PLATARIA.

Awoken by the local church bells at 7:30. Bizarrely, they also rang at 8:10 & 8:40. No chance of a lie-in.

The campsite is only 6 miles away so we are there by 9:30 and Rosie is using the washing machine by 9:31. The beautiful, deserted beach soon resembled Widow Twanky's yard.

The village is 2 kilometres away, up and down hill. We reward ourselves with a beer each. The local beer is called Fix. The waitress brings out a plate of whitebait . A shared third beer is accompanied by a dish of sprats. We're tempted to go for the third course but the thought of the hills on the way back countered any further beer.

The rest of the day is spent back at the campsite lazing by the sea.

A strange result at Old Trafford saw bottom club West Brom hand the title to City with a 1-0 win over United. Cue the ouzo.
