GLIKI.
We decide to leave Bouka before breakfast, Rosie has seen a beach at Menidi. It's a great choice. The beach area is pedestrianised so we can enjoy a coffee and toast at the harbour.

On to Arta which has a Roman bridge spanning the river. We park up and find that we are 2km from it. We walk to the bridge but it is very understated. It's almost impossible to find it.

Onto Gliki, we decide to wash in the River Acheron. The mythology is that, as the river disappears underground, the ancient Greeks believed that the souls were taken to the underworld. I lost my shoe so maybe the spirits must have decided they wanted it to make a pair.

The river supports pony trekking, canoeing and hiking. We share our position with a number of ponies.
Moussaka and a Greek salad for dinner washed down with a local wine, tasting of wood. The owner tells us that it is a wine from Ioanina. Different and very tasty.
