MONTEFIORE DELL' ASO.
Buona Pasqua announces everyone we meet at 8 am mass. One family includes a young father dressed in a uniform. I guess an officer in the army, Rosie suggests a sailor (a navy up a hillside 10 miles from the sea?). It transpires that he is a bandsman performing with others in the square later.
Breakfast in the local café consists of coffee and custard donuts - heaven.
On the road by 9:30 and drive to the aire to empty the cassette and grey water and fill up with drinking water for a euro.
I've always fancied Rimini and so the plan is to spend a couple of hours there. En route, we pass a Ghurkha cemetery. However, it is raining when we arrive so we simply drive through the town and along the coast. So we miss nothing.
We recalculate our journey as we arrive at our destination of Maratta by lunchtime. We eat in the van and I take my first ever selfie. Looking at the results, it will be quite a while until my second. Note Rosie with the Easter Cockerel.

We change our destination to Montefiore dell' Aso. This is about 10km in from the coast. A hairy moment as we are directed along a minor road and get stuck in a ditch. Much smelling of clutch as we finally manoeuvre around the bend.

Several attempts to find the aire which promised much but ....

The village is fabulous. Built on a hillside it includes a hospital, several churches, a football pitch which would be the envy of many an English town and a lifelike fruit mosaic made out of tiny tiles.

Finally, Rosie entertains the locals with her hula hooping skills.
