VENDREUVRE SUR BARSE.
Really wild camping sees us washing in a bucket this morning before a French style breakfast of brioche, fruit and yoghurt.
The fellow Brit had connected to the electricity point overnight leaving me frustrated until he explained he’d left it in but without success.
The plan was to hit Dijion as quickly as possible to get someone to look at the pipe. However, satnav tells us that it is an eight-hour drive. We settle for Troyes, a double-take as P thinks R is talking about Asia Minor.
The number of Allied troop cemeteries along the route is astonishing, Canadian troops seemed to have been forgotten in our history, but they are well represented in Northern France.
The Aire is based at a theme park called Nigloland in a small village called Dolancourt. Workman are preparing the park for the new season, Unfortunately, nothing opens until 30 March! A workman mentions an Aire by a lake, so we follow his directions but find no sign of it. We find one in the marketplace in the village of Vendeuvre sur Barse.


The book tells us that the only night we can’t park is Tuesday! Fortunately, we encounter a local policeman who shows us the only spot to park which will let us leave in the morning, takes euro 3 for water, which doesn’t work, and shows us how to access free electricity. We need it as the temperature drops to -1 Celsius.

Buy provisions in the local supermarket and cook it in the van. The alternative would have been pizza, again.
We go for a walk after dinner and finds her project for when she wins the lottery:
